Srinagar 16th November 2017 (KNO) : Hurriyat (M) and JKLF spokesmen in a joint statement strongly condemned the National Conferences abusive press statement regarding veteran and senior resistance leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani. They said that Syed Ali Shah Geelani is a respected senior politician and resistance leader and fielding a junior turncoat like Junaid Matoo on the job of hurling invectives on him reflects the moral bankruptcy of such people. They said that since out of power too long NC like fish out of water is writhing and hence employing its signature underhand and malicious ways and means of realizing that cherished ambition, displaying total insensitivity and disregard for the suffering and sacrifices of the people and their sacred freedom struggle. They said that unfortunately the hunger for the chair and its entailing “aash o aaram “of this opportunistic and unscrupulous group, has since 1947 been the nemesis of the people of Kashmir when they were first backstabbed, and since then are in continues grind of subjugation and occupation, paying dearly each day

They said that as part of their single point “kursi Wapsi” agenda, NC is once again playing dirty politics to gain some space, part of which is to divert attention from the main issue and the consequent repression on people, by maligning and defaming leadership representing and associated with the resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the people’s will and based on principles (KNO)
